| A good weld should have uniform thickness with a regular shaped bead with smooth, evenly spaced ripples. The weld bead should blend smoothly onto the surrounding base metal with no signs of weld spatter or globules of metal. There should be no evidence of oxide formation on the metal surrounding the weld. There should be no signs of porosity or blowholes in the weld bead. |
