| A bright, shining star led three kings from the East towards Bethlehem. They asked King Herod for permission to offer their gifts. Herod went to Rome to determine with his learned men where Christ was born. Having come to Bethlehem, the three kings offered Christ gold, incense and myrrh. Herod was afraid that he might lose his kingdom. |
